2017 Registration
by Master Admin posted 02/27/2017

Registration Begins March 1st

We have anew registration process, which will require everyone to create a "NEW" account going forward

Registration: Teams are formed on a first come/first served basis--returning or new to the program.

We were able to keep our 2016 prices. So no registration increases this year.

Tackle football is $375
Cheer (tackle) is $375
Bobcat flag (ages 8-10) is $275
Cub flag is (ages 5-7) is $200
Cheer (flag) is $200
Challenger is FREE

You will be able to register online and pay by credit card. (For tackle players: A $350 equipment deposit will be required at equipment pickup in July that will be returned to you when you return the equipment at the end of the season.)

Program: we will once again have a program for our home games this year. Players can sell business ads and play for free by being reimbursed their registration fee! Check out our website for more details.

Weigh in: players will be required to get an official weight so that they can be assigned to a team in the appropriate division. If they are light enough, they may be able to play down a division by declaring as an older/lighter. Our mandatory weigh in will be at the San Pedro YMCA on April 29th as a part of Healthy Kids' Day. We will also have Dr Flores again this year conducting physicals.

Forms: Pop Warner requires various forms to be completed before the start of the season such as player contract, physical, proof of residence, report card, birth certificate, attendance policy, etc. If you're new to the program, your team manager will help you through this process.

There's usually a slush fund as well, which mostly goes towards game and scout film, but also goes towards team parties and such. The should be greatly reduced this year because we are using the conference's film platform.

Preseason: Many of our coaches participate in spring flag 7 on 7 leagues. Once you are registered, you may get a call from a coach seeing if you'd like to come out and participate. This is completely voluntary and costs vary.

There will also be speed and agility training in the summer to help participants get in shape. Again this is completely voluntary and costs vary.

Season: Our season officially starts August 1. Practices, scrimmages, and games are mandatory from this point forward. It is imperative from a safety standpoint that your child be at Augusts practices. The first week players must get 10 hours of conditioning before moving into pads. The second week players need to get in 10 hours of contact before participating in a scrimmage. Coach usually mandate that a player participates in a scrimmage before playing in a game. First game is in August.  You can see that it is important for all players to be at practice for safety, installation of playbook, position training, etc, otherwise they will fall behind and not be able to play. Tackle teams will play at least 10 games this year. it looks like Flag will have more as well as the conference looks to have playoffs.

The season can last into November with conference and regional playoffs. And ultimately can go into the first week of December if a team is fortunate enough to go to the national championships in Florida.

Continue to check our website for up to date information.

Many thanks!
